BOOKED PRESENTS A NORTH FORK SUMMER SEND OFF

A DAY OF BOOKS, BLOOMS, GOOD FOOD, AND LOCAL WINE ON LONG ISLAND’S NORTH FORK

Spend one last Saturday savoring summer with a curated small-group escape to Long Island's North Fork.

We'll begin the day with a private ride from Manhattan before heading east for a day designed to slow down and reconnect. Browse the shelves of a beloved independent bookstore, create your own floral arrangement with locally grown blooms, share a seasonal lunch, and end the afternoon among the vines with a relaxed wine tasting in one of the North Fork's most charming settings.

Expect thoughtful details, great conversation, beautiful scenery, and plenty of time to simply enjoy the day.

What does it cost?

Pricing for this experience will be finalized once we confirm our minimum number of participants. Right now, we’re collecting refundable deposits so we can lock in vendors, secure venue reservations, and negotiate the best possible rates for the group.

For planning purposes, the estimated cost is around $625 per person for a full‑day, all‑inclusive trip (approximately 8:00 AM – 8:15 PM). This covers transportation, guided activities, meals, and all scheduled experiences.

You can reserve your spot with a $100 refundable deposit. Your deposit will be applied to your final ticket if the event moves forward.

If we do not reach the minimum attendance threshold, all deposits are fully refunded—no questions, no fees.

The Experience

BRUNCH IN A BOOKSTORE

Imagine the perfect slow morning: coffee in hand, a stack of books nearby, and nowhere you need to be.

We'll start the day browsing the shelves of a beloved independent bookstore, lingering over book recommendations, sharing favorite reads, and soaking in the simple joy of discovering a story that catches your eye.

It's a gentle beginning to a day designed around creativity, connection, and the kinds of experiences we rarely make enough time for.

Because in our opinion, brunch is even better when it comes with a new book.

Flowers & Creativity

Next, we'll head to a local flower farm for a hands-on floral design workshop. You'll learn the basics of arranging seasonal blooms and create a beautiful arrangement to bring home.

Lunch with New Friends

We'll gather for a leisurely lunch featuring fresh local ingredients and plenty of time to connect with fellow readers, travelers, and creatives.

Wine Among the Vines

We'll close out the day at Bridge Lane Wine, one of the North Fork's most laid-back and welcoming tasting rooms. Sip a guided tasting flight of local wines, settle in at colorful picnic tables, challenge a new friend to a lawn game, or simply relax with a glass in hand and soak up the final days of summer.

There will be no rush, no agenda—just good wine, good company, and time to unwind before heading back to the city.

A Note from Lauren

When I was dreaming up ideas for Booked, I knew I wanted to share one of my favorite places: the North Fork.

I grew up on Long Island, and some of my favorite memories were made out here. While it may not have the glitz of the Hamptons, that's exactly what I love about it. The North Fork moves at a slower pace. It's filled with family-owned farms, local wineries, and the kind of small-town charm that keeps the influencers away (for now!)

And if you ask me, September is the very best time to visit. The crowds have started to thin, the vineyards are buzzing with harvest season energy, and there's a feeling in the air that summer is stretching itself out for just a little longer.

Booked was created for women who are craving more than another crowded brunch or rushed weekend. I believe some of the best memories come from slowing down: discovering a new bookstore, sharing a meal with strangers who become friends, learning something creative, and ending the day with a great glass of wine as the sun starts to dip.

This trip brings together so many of the things I love—books, flowers, local food, meaningful conversation, and the North Fork—and I can't wait to share it with you.
